Old Hill Chardonnay 2020

Tasting Notes
Our 2020 Old Hill Chardonnay exhibits aromatics of lemon, brioche and cashews. On the palate, excellent structure and length are complemented by brioche, citrus and hints of white peach.
Vinification
The Old Hill block chardonnay grapes were hand-picked and fermented in French oak barriques using wild yeast and left to mature on lees for eight months.

2020 Vintage
The 2020 vintage saw the Chardonnay vines crop low. This parcel of fruit was harvested on the 26th of February.

Vineyard
22 ACRES OF MATURE VINES
Gioiello Estate's vineyard is located within the Yea Valley on the Goulburn River, on the lower reaches of 651 metre high Mt Concord. Our 22 acres of mature vines were planted on north facing slopes between 1987 and 1992.
