Tasting Notes
The 2019 Mt Concord Syrah offers a perfume of rich dark plums with savoury elements from French oak. The concentrated palate reveals cassis and spices interwoven with liquorice. This cool climate syrah offers mouth-filling texture and structured tannins.
The 2018 Mt Concord Syrah offers a perfume of blueberry, violet and clove. On the palate, concentrated flavours of blueberry, clove and black olive are integrated with structured tannins.
The 2016 Mt Concord Syrah offers a perfume of spicy plums with toasty oak characters. The palate is textural and mouth-filling with flavours of plum, chocolate and clove.
The 2019 Old House Merlot displays lifted notes of violets and rich cherry fruit. On the palate fruit, richness and structure are balanced with refined tannins and savoury notes of toasty French oak and black olive.
The 2016 Old House Merlot displays concentrated dark berries on the nose. Rich dark berries framed by black olive reside on the palate with well-integrated oak.
The 2018 Old House Merlot offers aromatics of warm spiced plums. The palate displays savoury black olive, balanced with plums, cherry, toasty oak and warm spices.
Vinification
The Mt Concord Syrah grapes are selected from the Mt Concord block are handpicked, de-stemmed and crushed into open-top fermenters. The wine is then gently pressed and matured in French oak barriques for 18 months.
The Old House Merlot grapes selected from the old house block are handpicked, de-stemmed and crushed into open-top fermenters. The wine is then gently pressed and matured in French oak barriques for 18 months.

Free delivery for orders over $150. A flat $15 delivery fee will apply for orders under $150.
Additional delivery charges will apply if you are in remote regions of Australia.
Deliveries are made via Australia Post. Standard delivery times to all major cities is approximately 4-5 business days.
Vineyard
22 ACRES OF MATURE VINES
Gioiello Estate's vineyard is located within the Yea Valley on the Goulburn River, on the lower reaches of 651 metre high Mt Concord. Our 22 acres of mature vines were planted on north facing slopes between 1987 and 1992.
