Mt Concord Syrah 2016

Tasting Notes
Our barrel selected cool-climate Syrah offers a perfume of spicy plums with toasty oak characters. The palate is textural and mouth-filling with plum, chocolate, and clove flavours.
Vinification
Shiraz grapes selected from the Mt Concord block are handpicked, de-stemmed and crushed into open-top fermenters. The wine is gently pressed and matured in French oak barriques for 18 months.

2016 Vintage
The 2016 vintage brought stable and pleasant conditions across the vineyard, allowing for a perfect budburst and fruit set. This parcel of Shiraz grapes was harvested on 19 March.

Deliveries are made via Australia Post. Standard delivery times to all major cities is approximately 4-5 business days.
Vineyard
22 ACRES OF MATURE VINES
Gioiello Estate's vineyard is located within the Yea Valley on the Goulburn River, on the lower reaches of 651 metre high Mt Concord. Our 22 acres of mature vines were planted on north facing slopes between 1987 and 1992.
