Tasting Notes
Our 2021 Running Creek Pinot Noir offers aromas of spice and cherries. On the palate notes of rhubarb, cherry and mixed spices are in harmony with fine tannins.
Vinification
This parcel of old vine Pinot Noir grapes was hand-selected and gently destemmed without crushing into open-top fermenters. Ferments started wild and were then hand plunged. The skins were gently pressed and the wine racked to French barriques for maturation on less with minimal handling.

Wine Reviews
"Good evidence here to suggest that this region might offer some exciting Pinots in the years to come. This cracking, and top value Pinot is from old vines. A gentle destemming, wild ferment and racking to French barriques on lees for maturation. Attractive crimson. There are notes of herbs and spices, vegetation and a hint of sour cherries. Lovely focus and excellent balance. The finish has admirable persistance. A beautifully fragrant Pinot with earthy complexity. Should provide pleasure for six to ten years. Great buying. Love it. 94 points".

"Bright and delightfully perfumed, the wine shows red cherry, dried herb, floral, game and nutmeg aromas on the nose, followed by a juicy palate that's beautifully rounded and smooth. Elegant and splendidly balanced with a lingering succulent finish. At its best : Now to 2027." 93 points
