Tasting Notes
Our 2021 Mt Concord Syrah exhibits perfumes of dark berries and rich spice. On the palate luscious blueberry and blackberry fruits integrate with spicy oak characters.
Vinification
Shiraz grapes are hand-picked, destemmed and crushed into open-top fermenters. The wine is gently pressed and matured in French oak barriques for 18 months.

2021 Vintage
2021 was a mild and sunny season with good rainfall at key times, resulting in healthy vines, an excellent ripening season, great flavour development and balanced acids. We had a harvest date for this parcel of fruit on the 16th of March.
Wine Reviews
"This was an excellent season in the Upper Goulburn Valley and this shows all that is good from that year. There's a distinct dark red-black fruit on the nose with a slightly earthy undertone. The palate is quite rich and textured with a lavish feel and ripe fruits displaying varietal plumminess with a little spice. There's a gravelly, grainy textural feel about it which balances the sweeter plush fruits. It's a meduim- bodied wine displaying elegance and poise. Cellar 10 years".

" A most appealing Syrah from the 2021 vintage, meaning it has already had some time to develop complexity and secondary characteristics. Blood red / magenta in colour, the nose offers notes of root vegetables, warm earth, mushrooms, leather, cherries and charcuterie. Savoury in style, there is good direction and intensity, bright acidity and a lingering finish. A wine of decent length with sleek tannins. Enjoy this over the next eight to twelve years".
