Tasting Notes
Our cool-climate Syrah offers perfume notes of lifted spices and blueberries. On the palate, red berries integrate beautifully with mixed spice.
Vinification
Shiraz grapes are handpicked, de-stemmed and crushed into open-top fermenters. The wine is gently pressed and matured in French oak barriques for 18 months.

2018 Vintage
2018 vintage saw some early season humidity but concluded with a warm and dry summer resulting in an earlier harvest date for this parcel of fruit on the 4th of March.
Wine Reviews
"Complex and inviting, the bouquet shows dark cherry, smoked game, dried herb and subtle leather notes, leading to a juicy palate displaying rounded mouthfeel and subtle texture. Medium-full and flavoursome with well balanced tannins. At its best : now to 2030."

"The Estate Shiraz does not see any new oak, allowing impressive fruit flavours to step to the fore. Dark crimson in colour, there are notes of raspberries, tobacco leaves, red fruits, spices, dry herbs and cranberries. A mid-weight style with a pleasing flick of acidity, there is good balance and excellent length. Abundant and yet silky tannins. This will offer pleasure for the next decade".
