Tasting Notes
Our cool-climate Mt Concord Syrah offers a perfume of spiced berries. On the palate, French oak supports blueberry and spiced cherry fruit flavours.
Vinification
Shiraz grapes are hand-picked, destemmed and crushed into open-top fermenters. The wine is gently pressed and matured in French oak barriques for 18 months.

2019 Vintage
The 2019 vintage saw dry and warm conditions across the property but the vineyard thrived. We had a harvest date for this parcel of fruit on the 7th of March.
Wine Reviews
"A mighty impressive cool climate Syrah from the Upper Goulburn. Has a bright red fruit lift on the nose with a little dried herbs and even a touch of sage bush. The palate is medium weight with excellent intensity. A wine with swagger and poise. Delve deeper into the palate and black fruit characters emerge. There's a fine ironstone core threading through here. Cellar 10 years".

"The grapes hail from the the lower reaches of Mount Concord, an elevation of 650 meters. They were hand-harvested, destemmed and crushed into open-top fermenters, before a gentle pressing and then maturation in French oak barriques for 18 months, 64% of which were new. The nose here gives us rose petals and raspberries. Leather, cloves and mint. There is good concentration, focus and serious persistence. A really lovely example of a cooler climate Syrah. Fine, well crafted tannins with a line of acidity. Enjoy this now or anytime over the next six to ten years".
