There's a distinct dark red-black fruit on the nose with a slightly earthy undertone. The palate is quite rich and textured with a lavish feel and ripe fruits displaying varietal plumminess with a little spice. There's a gravelly, grainy textural feel about it which balances the sweeter plush fruits. It's a meduim- bodied wine displaying elegance and poise.
