Tasting Notes
Our Estate Merlot displays aromatics of crushed autumn leaves and cherries. The structured palate offers balanced flavours of savoury black olive, mulberries and integrated toasty oak.
Vinification
Merlot grapes are handpicked, destemmed and crushed into open-top fermenters. The wine is gently pressed and matured in French oak barriques for 18 months.

2017 Vintage
2017 Vintage brought stable and pleasant conditions across the vineyard, allowing perfect budburst and fruit set. This parcel of Merlot grapes was harvested on the 4th March.

"Hand-picked, destemmed and crushed into small open fermenters, matured for 18 months in French oak. No frills other than the benefit of the '17 vintage that invests the wine with very good length and a pleasing finish."

Additional delivery charges will apply if you are in remote regions of Australia.
Deliveries are made via Australia Post. Standard delivery times to all major cities is approximately 4-5 business days.
Vineyard
22 ACRES OF MATURE VINES
Gioiello Estate's vineyard is located within the Yea Valley on the Goulburn River, on the lower reaches of 651 metre high Mt Concord. Our 22 acres of mature vines were planted on north facing slopes between 1987 and 1992.
